How do the three levels and short or full versions differ?
Each level has its own questions, harder as the level rises, with a short version of 10 questions and a full version of 30. Choose short for a quick overview, full for a more precise score; choose your level on the page.
How can I prepare for the French points in this test?
Revise partitive articles, past tenses, false friends, idiomatic expressions and prepositions, and practise choosing one correct answer under time pressure. Use the optional Hint for method tips when you are stuck.
What do the result bands mean and when do I get a certificate?
The result gives correct answers out of the total and a band: Needs work below 40%, Intermediate from 40%, Advanced from 60%, Expert from 80% only at Expert level; at other levels the top band is Advanced. A passed test earns a PDF certificate with score, date and QR code.
If I retake, is my result private and how do rankings work?
You can retake as often as you want with Start again; the questions are the same. A result is visible only to you. Rankings show first name, initial, country, city, score and time; your best attempt counts.
What happens if I do not finish before the time runs out?
Each format has one overall time limit shown as Time remaining; when it is up the test ends by itself and unanswered questions count as wrong.
