Which format and level should I choose first?
Choose Easy, Intermediate or Expert. Each has Short of 10 questions about 3 minutes, Full of 30 questions about 8, 9 or 10 minutes depending on level. Short gives a quick overview, Full a more precise score.
How should I prepare for this test?
Revise UK geography, business history and Parliamentary procedures together, and practise timed single-correct-answer questions. Vary themes such as sporting rules, legal terms and British Overseas Territories. Use the Hint for method, but it never gives answers.
How is my result banded and what counts as a pass?
You see correct answers out of the total. Bands are Needs work below 40%, Intermediate from 40%, Advanced from 60%, and Expert from 80% only at Expert level; at other levels the top band is Advanced. Passing needs at least 6 out of 10 Short and 18 out of 30 Full.
What does the certificate include and what is its value?
A passed test earns a PDF certificate with first and last name, score, date, certificate number and a QR code that opens a verification page. It only confirms your result on this test; it does not confer any formal standing.
Can I retake it and how private is my result?
Yes, use Start again. Questions remain the same and in same order, so a retake mostly measures memory. Your result is visible only to you. Rankings, when published, show only first name and initial, country, city, score, time, and only best attempt counts.
