Frequently asked questions
What does this geometry test measure and who is it useful for?
It assesses knowledge and reasoning about the Pythagorean theorem and geometric shapes. Easy, Intermediate and Expert each have a Short version of 10 questions and a Full version of 30 questions on geometry, including polygons and circles. It is useful for learners, curious readers and people preparing an exam in geometry.
How do the three levels and short or full formats differ?
Easy, Intermediate and Expert are separate question series, with Expert the hardest. Short version lasts about 5 minutes for a quick overview; Full version takes 14 to 15 minutes for a more precise score. Use the level selector to choose.
What should I revise to prepare for this test?
Revise the Pythagorean theorem, area and perimeter formulas for rectangles, triangles and circles, volume conversions and angle properties in polygons. Practise reading geometric diagrams and converting units carefully, as many questions combine several skills.
What do the result bands mean and what counts as passing?
Bands are Needs work below 40%, Intermediate from 40%, Advanced from 60%, Expert from 80% only at Expert level; other levels top band is Advanced. Passing requires 6 correct out of 10 or 18 out of 30 depending on format.
When do I earn the certificate and what does it contain?
You earn a PDF certificate when you pass. It shows your first and last name, score, date, certificate number and a QR code linking to a verification page. It is attached to the result email and downloadable from the account.
Can I retake the test, and how do the rankings work?
You can retake as often as wanted with "Start again"; questions are the same and in the same order. Rankings show only your first name and last initial, country, city, score and time, and only your best attempt counts: highest score, then shortest time.
Who can see my result and how can I delete it?
Your result is visible only to you. Deleting personal data can be requested from the site’s data rights page; this is a request, not an instant button. Country and city come from your IP address.
