Frequently asked questions

What does this measure and who is it useful for?

It measures numerical sequences, formal logic, spatial rotations and other deductive reasoning skills. It is useful for learners, curious readers and people preparing for a logical reasoning assessment. This test is not an official exam.

Which format and level should I choose?

There are three levels: Easy, Intermediate and Expert. Each has a Short version of 10 questions and about 5 minutes, and a Full version of 30 questions and about 13 to 15 minutes. Short gives a quick overview; Full gives a more precise score.

How do timing and question navigation work?

Each format has one overall time limit shown as countdown. Questions appear one at a time, and an answer must be chosen to move on. Going back, changing answers and «Bookmark for review» are possible. When time ends, unanswered questions count as wrong.

How should I prepare for these puzzles?

Practise number sequences, syllogistic statements and spatial rotations before starting. During a question, identify the single variable that changes between terms or views. Use the optional Hint when you need a method; it never lowers your score.

How do I interpret the score bands?

Your result gives correct answers out of the total and a band: Needs work below 40%, Intermediate from 40%, Advanced from 60%, Expert from 80% only at the Expert level. At other levels the top band is Advanced.

What does passing give me?

Passing requires 6 correct out of 10 or 18 correct out of 30, depending on format. You then earn a PDF certificate with name, score, date, certificate number and QR code; it is not an official qualification.

Can I retake it and how is ranking handled?

You can retake with «Start again»; questions are the same and in the same order. Rankings use only your best attempt, selecting highest score then shortest time. Your result remains visible only to the person who took it.
