Pick a Short version: 10 questions in about 3 minutes at any level. For a more precise score, pick the Full version: 30 questions, taking 8, 9 or 10 minutes depending on the chosen level. The level is selected on the page or when starting.
Each level is its own series of questions with the same number of questions, becoming harder as the level rises. Choose Easy for a gentler start, Intermediate for more context, or Expert for the most demanding assessment.
Revise Victorian labour legislation, poor relief, the Reform Acts, transport, urban infrastructure, engineering and lighting. Practise working under the single overall time limit, and use the optional Hint only as a method tip, since it never gives the answer.
You receive one point per correct answer. Below 40% is Needs work, from 40% is Intermediate, from 60% is Advanced, and from 80% is Expert. The Expert band is only awarded at the Expert level; at other levels the top band is Advanced.
Pass with at least 6 correct answers out of 10 in a Short version, or 18 out of 30 in a Full version. A passed test earns a PDF certificate with your first and last name, score, date, certificate number and a verification QR code.
A result is visible only to you. Unlocked results appear in The rankings with your first name, last-name initial, country, city, score and time. Retakes use the same questions in the same order; only your best attempt counts, by highest score then shortest time.
Whatever your goal, there's a test for you.
